Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.38%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods , Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.38%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Zealand Pharma A/S (CSE: ZELA ), which rose 3.25% or 11.80 points to trade at 375.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE: NOVOb ) added 3.06% or 13.40 points to end at 451.30 and Novozymes AS (CSE: NSISb ) was up 1.60% or 7.20 points to 457.10 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CSE: PNDORA ), which fell 1.68% or 18.50 points to trade at 1,085.50 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE: JYSK ) declined 1.53% or 10.00 points to end at 642.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE: MAERSKb ) was down 1.47% or 175.00 points to 11,740.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 65 to 59 and 16 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.67% or 0.45 to $66.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.65% or 0.45 to hit $68.35 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.01% or 0.30 to trade at $3,342.60 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.20% to 6.33, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 96.62.
