Portugal stocks lower at close of trade; PSI down 0.92%

Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Consumer Goods , Utilities and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Lisbon, the PSI fell 0.92%.

The best performers of the session on the PSI were Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ), which rose 1.22% or 0.08 points to trade at 6.23 at the close. Meanwhile, Nos SGPS SA (ELI: NOS ) added 0.23% or 0.01 points to end at 4.31 and Semapa (ELI: SEM ) was up 0.13% or 0.02 points to 15.30 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were EDP Renovaveis (ELI: EDPR ), which fell 2.09% or 0.18 points to trade at 8.19 at the close. Galp Energia Nom (ELI: GALP ) declined 2.06% or 0.33 points to end at 15.45 and Ibersol SGPS (ELI: IBS ) was down 1.81% or 0.16 points to 8.70.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 17 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged.

Shares in Altri SGPS SA (ELI: ALSS ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.22% or 0.08 to 6.23.

Brent oil for May delivery was up 0.26% or 0.19 to $72.19 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.38% or 0.26 to hit $68.33 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 21.70 to trade at $3,022.10 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 103.84.
