Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.45%

Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Insurance , Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.45%.

The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were S2M (CSE: S2M ), which rose 9.98% or 42.70 points to trade at 470.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) added 9.98% or 5.12 points to end at 56.42 and Delta Holding S.A (CSE: DHO ) was up 9.76% or 8.00 points to 90.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were CTM (CSE: CTM ), which fell 9.99% or 110.50 points to trade at 995.50 at the close. Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) declined 7.79% or 180.00 points to end at 2,130.00 and Miniere Touissit (CSE: CMT ) was down 5.13% or 100.00 points to 1,850.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 29 to 27 and 6 ended unchanged.

Shares in S2M (CSE: S2M ) rose to all time highs; up 9.98% or 42.70 to 470.70. Shares in Stokvis Nord Afrique (CSE: SNA ) rose to 5-year highs; up 9.98% or 5.12 to 56.42. Shares in Delta Holding S.A (CSE: DHO ) rose to all time highs; up 9.76% or 8.00 to 90.00.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.62% or 0.44 to $71.64 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.40% or 0.30 to hit $74.79 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.82% or 25.89 to trade at $3,171.89 a troy ounce.

EUR/MAD was down 0.21% to 10.39, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 9.62.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 103.46.
