France stocks higher at close of trade; CAC 40 up 1.21%

Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Industrials , Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 1.21%, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.20%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Stellantis NV (EPA: STLAM ), which rose 4.82% or 0.42 points to trade at 9.17 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS: MT ) added 4.20% or 1.11 points to end at 27.56 and Societe Generale SA (EPA: SOGN ) was up 3.99% or 1.87 points to 48.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carrefour SA (EPA: CARR ), which fell 0.55% or 0.08 points to trade at 14.52 at the close. Bouygues SA (EPA: BOUY ) declined 0.05% or 0.02 points to end at 39.57 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA: EUFI ) was down 0.04% or 0.02 points to 56.38.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Euroapi SAS (EPA: EAPI ) which rose 16.36% to 3.13, Worldline SA (EPA: WLN ) which was up 8.70% to settle at 5.41 and Nexans SA (EPA: NEXS ) which gained 5.08% to close at 102.40.
The worst performers were Vallourec (EPA: VLLP ) which was down 8.91% to 15.33 in late trade, Carrefour SA (EPA: CARR ) which lost 0.55% to settle at 14.52 and Television Francaise 1 SA (EPA: TFFP ) which was down 0.51% to 8.84 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 352 to 154 and 75 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.79% or 26.94 to $3,367.56 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.16% or 0.10 to hit $61.63 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $64.27 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.15% to 1.14, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 98.90.
