Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.61%

Investing.com – Netherlands stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology , Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Amsterdam, the AEX gained 0.61%.

The best performers of the session on the AEX were Adyen NV (AS: ADYEN ), which rose 2.95% or 44.80 points to trade at 1,562.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Prosus (AS: PRX ) added 2.49% or 1.16 points to end at 47.63 and ASML Holding NV (AS: ASML ) was up 1.85% or 12.20 points to 671.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Shell PLC (AS: SHEL ), which fell 2.52% or 0.77 points to trade at 29.81 at the close. Heineken (AS: HEIN ) declined 0.99% or 0.76 points to end at 75.96 and IMCD NV (AS: IMCD ) was down 0.48% or 0.55 points to 112.95.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Amsterdam Stock Exchange by 59 to 37 and 12 ended unchanged.

The AEX Volatility , which measures the implied volatility of AEX options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.09.

Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.76% or 1.17 to $67.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 1.39% or 0.95 to hit $69.25 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.44% or 14.78 to trade at $3,331.72 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.37% to 1.17, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 96.98.
