Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.69%

Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare , Travel & Leisure and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.69%.

The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Prysmian SpA (BIT: PRY ), which rose 1.91% or 1.16 points to trade at 62.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Stellantis NV (BIT: STLAM ) added 1.14% or 0.10 points to end at 8.53 and Davide Campari Milano SpA (BIT: CPRI ) was up 0.92% or 0.06 points to 6.17 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Recordati (BIT: RECI ), which fell 3.52% or 1.90 points to trade at 52.10 at the close. Banco Bpm SpA (BIT: BAMI ) declined 2.56% or 0.27 points to end at 10.27 and Buzzi Unicem (BIT: BZU ) was down 2.34% or 1.20 points to 50.10.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 277 to 266 and 51 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.75% or 0.50 to $66.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 0.61% or 0.42 to hit $68.79 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.76% or 25.40 to trade at $3,333.70 a troy ounce.

EUR/USD was down 0.48% to 1.16, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.22% to 0.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.51% at 98.26.
